About Treebeards Arboriculture
Treebeards offer the complete qualified Arboriculture package, from Arboriculture consultancy to tree management. We offer services including tree hazard assessments, planting, formative pruning to maintenance and tree removal, all compliant with Australian Standards best practice guidelines.
Treebeards was founded by myself and my business partner Allan Erickson. Combined we have 40 years’ experience in the Arboriculture industry. In our former roles, both worked with Mackay Regional Council and so are aware of council’s procedures, policies and expectations.
While a supervisor with Council, I handled PR, consulting, contractor management, day to day running of four Arbor crews and up to five separate contractor crews. I also managed the Council crews for major projects and tree maintenance for Main Roads.
Allan was senior Leading Hand for Councils Arbor crew and looked after all aspects of tree maintenance including cyclone clean ups, to formative pruning of historical and significant trees. Allan has also been responsible for apprentice training for many years.
What sets Treebeards aside from other tree maintenance businesses?
We are qualified tree doctors and provide health checks on trees and comprehensive tree hazard assessments. Our unique skill set, and use of drone technology enables us to put residents’ minds at ease where there are concerns about large trees adjacent to properties.
Treebeards are branded as promoting environmentally sustainable tree management and help our community to see trees as an asset, not a problem. Emphasising the benefits of trees, such as heat and pollution reduction, environmental and biodiversity benefits and the general health and wellbeing that comes from our greenspaces.
